Watch for load limit signs on Concord streets
The city of Concord has begun posting “No Trucking – Load Limit 9 Tons” signs to prepare for the spring thaw. The spring thaw refers to when the temperatures fluctuate and the roads begin to melt any ice frozen underneath the asphalt (forming frost heaves in the winter), thus contracting roads back down and causing cracks and breaks in the pavement.
