If you haven’t seen the exhibit, A Focus on New Hampshire Aviation, at the N.H. State Library, we have some good news. Oh, well you might as well enjoy these in the mean time.

The show runs through March 20 at the League Headquarters, located at 49 S. Main St.
Here’s what winter storm Juno looked like through an Instagram lens
Winter storm Juno may not have been the crippling blizzard the weathermen wanted us to think it was, at least not in Concord (sorry, Nashua!), but it sure did make for some pretty pictures! We checked the old Instagram machine and found some of our favorites from the storm and its aftermath. F

The Concord Garden Club took over McGowan Fine Art for three days last week to hold its 13th annual Art and Bloom show. The exhibit consisted of a hand selected collection of work by none other than Sarah Chaffee. From there, garden club members created floral masterpieces to represent the art. Unfortunately, since cut flowers don’t last that long, the show is over, but please enjoy these photographs.
St. Paul’s Hargate Gallery is home to Tom Devaney’s latest creations
You may know Tom Devaney from that giant eyeball that keeps a close watch over the intersection of Pleasant and Main streets, but what you may not know is that he’s quite the accomplished artist besides his recorded organ of vision. Want proof? A lot of his stuff is on these pages and even more of it is on display under the title, Simultaneous Perspectives, at St. Paul’s School’s Hargate Gallery through Feb. 28. And FYI, that lifelike...

R.P. Hale sure knows how to make wood look like a picture
If you just glance at the photos on this page, you might think these are some pretty great drawings. But if you look real close – and we mean real close – you might be able to notice that these aren’t drawings at all. In fact, these are prints of wood engravings done by non other than Concord’s own R.P. Hale. We know, it’s quite amazing and there are plenty more to see in the Concord City Auditorium reception lobby between the time...

Tim has never met a craft he didn’t want to make, so when the Concord Library wanted him to create a Christmas trees out of old books it wasn’t a hard sell.
LibraryTrees-CI-123014
The Concord Public Library knows books, obvi. So it’s no surprise the good people there know how to give a book new life with a craft project, like turning one into a Christmas tree. That’s precisely what happened last Tuesday, and we were there to spy some of the coolest creations.
