Kari Moe Zwick is pretty crafty – just look at her work for proof

If you’ve ever gone into Dos Amigos for a burrito, a taco or to get the autograph of Will Richmond, who was once dubbed our Amigo of the Week, then you’ve probably seen some funky collections of art hanging on the Main Street restaurant’s walls. Well, this Kari Moe Zwick exhibit definitely falls into that category. Zwick’s mission (found clearly printed on her business card) is to help convert folks to leading a crafty life and help...

Quilts-CI-040715

Since this is the quilting issue and we spent most of last week talking to people about quilts, it was only right that we devote some space to some of the best ones we saw during our travels. Plus we’re big fans of things that keep us warm and wanted to share it with all of you. And trust us, this is only a fraction of what we saw. Cannon-CI-033115

Turns out about three months is long enough for a gingerbread house to sit in a place of business, so we asked for suggestions on how to destroy Tim’s creation. The winner? A tiny cannon! And boy did the cannon do its job. We found pieces of gingerbread shrapnel a good 50 feet from the blast site. Wish you could have seen it happen? You can – we took video, and posted it to our Facebook page. Go check it out!

Guess who won our snowbank scavenger hunt?

We had a scavenger hunt, and some of you scavenged. We can prove that at least one person did, anyway, because we’re naming Deborah Brink the winner! She successfully discovered six of the seven snowbanks, and would perhaps have had all seven with more lenient graders (we were looking for Franklin Pierce statue, not the State House). Anyway, Deborah has won a $20 gift card to the Concord business of her choice. Congrats Deborah, and...
