A surprise 50th wedding anniversary celebration was held for Dudley and Roberta (Wheeler) Terrill on Nov. 17 at the Mountain View Grand Resort in Whitefield. The couple was married at the 1st Congregational Church in Concord on Nov. 24, 1962.Dudley was the church organist at the time, and Roberta was a member of the choir. Since Ocean State Job Lots’ slogan is ‘adventure shopping,’ we stopped by to find the most adventurous items in the store. Usually, we make a snarky remark about the items we find. Today, however, we present, without comment, the most awesome thing we’ve ever seen: an Easy-E-themed snowboard.

Our former Nature 101 columnist Paul Basham relocated to New Jersey, and believe it or not, he ran into the Jersey Devil out in the Pine Barrens! Paul told us: “According to ancient folk lore, unfortunate things happen whenever there is a sighting of the Jersey Devil, and two days later Hurricane Sandy slammed into the Jersey coast.”

The New Hampshire Humanities Council considers Evans Printing a knight in shining armor for its printing efforts. So how better to thank the staff than by bringing a real knight in shining armor? Students from Concord High School’s German American Partnership Program took the Insider with them to Cologne, Germany. Here they are with students from CHS’s sister school, the Maximilian Kolb Gymnasium.
