St. Paul’s graduate brings glaring display to Hargate Gallery
For years, visitors to St. Paul’s School have enjoyed Joseph Wheelwright’s Moonstone sculpture along the path near the Lower School Pond. Now they can enjoy many of his other pieces. The 1966 graduate is currently showing his stone, granite and wood sculptures in the school’s Hargate Gallery, an exhibit that will be on display through May 31.

On Friday at the Broken Ground School, Girls Scouts from the Concord area teamed up with LEtGo Your Mind to help teach the scouts about the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) with the use of LEGOS.

The Pastel Society of New Hampshire’s 9th Annual Members Exhibition is currently being displayed at the Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Garden. Forty-nine artists from New Hampshire and beyond were selected to showcase both traditional and contemporary techniques. The exhibit will be at Mill Brook through May 31. The League of N.H. Craftsmen Headquarters is home to a new exhibit from the N.H. Furniture Masters, the Guild of N.H. Woodworkers and the Prison Outreach Program. The 65 hand-crafted pieces will be on display through June 20.

The Children of Incarcerated Parents summer camp at Camp Spaulding in Penacook allows for children to spend time with a parent who is in jail or prison. Over the last two summers, the children and parents have created murals titled ‘A Perfect Day with Dad.’ That original work is currently hanging in the Carolyn Jenkins Gallery at the Kimball-Jenkins Estate. The nine murals will be on display through April 24.

Charity game helps bring new assistive technology to NHTI
The annual Wheelchair Basketball Benefit for the Zech DeVits Memorial Equipment Fund at NHTI raises money to help provide assistive technology to students with disabilities. Photographer captured some of ‘Life’s’ most important moments
John Shearer spent years photographing some of the most famous moments in United States history. He covered the funerals of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, the Attica Prison riots and the “Fight of the Century” between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.
