The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN) introduces you to our “Young Professional of the Month,” Joseph Conti. Each month the CYPN Steering Committee recommends a young professional in the community it thinks Concord Insider readers would enjoy getting to know better.
How old are you? 28
Where do you live? Manchester
Where do you currently work? I am an associate at Crisp Law Firm, PLLC. You can also find me on the softball field as head coach of U16 Plex Softball.
What’s your favorite part of your work day? I love helping clients who truly need my help and service. As part of a general practice law firm I get to meet unique people every day, in all walks of life, and assist them with their legal issues. And I have a pretty great view of Main Street overlooking Siam Orchid and Dos Amigos.
Where did you go to school? I attended Saint Joseph’s University where I received my bachelor’s degree in physics and then attended the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
What do you like to do for fun? Play with my dog Cooper. I’m also a really big fan of really bad reality television.
Favorite places to be? Beaches in all shapes and forms. My favorite beach is Ocean City, N.J.
Last book you’ve read? Moneyball by Michael Lewis. I am working my way through all his books as he is really good at explaining complex topics to the average person.
How did you find out about CYPN and how has it benefitted your business or you personally? The law firm where I work is a member of the Greater Concord Chamber and human interaction with people my age was lacking at my previous job. It is great knowing that you can meet trustworthy people in any industry right here in Concord.
What organizations are you involved with? The Young Lawyers Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Plex Softball and NH-Highschoolsports.com.
Who is your greatest role model? My parents. They have always supported me.
What’s your favorite restaurant in Concord? Revival — my wife and I even had our rehearsal dinner there.
What’s your favorite place to go in Concord? Lithermans Limited. The brewery has a great mix of IPAs and sours and their tasting room is a very friendly atmosphere.
Favorite movie of all time? Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
What is one of your life goals? To watch a game in all 30 Major League Baseball parks in one summer.
What has been your favorite CYPN event so far? Budget on Tap. It’s one of the few events I’ve attended where I got to work on a team with other young professionals.
If you could visit any country, where would you go? Australia. I am a certified scuba diver and would love to dive the Great Barrier Reef.
Where is the best place you’ve visited? The top of Isle of Capri; the mountain’s named Mount Solaro.
Who would you really like to meet? Living: Will Ferrell, I think it would just be fun to watch a baseball game with him. Dead: Benjamin Franklin. He brought so much to the city of Philadelphia and the founding of our country.
Tell us a few interesting facts about yourself! My law school background is in intellectual property but I am currently pursuing a new area of law. I have a close family located all over the East Coast, but I want to thank my beautiful wife for keeping me in beautiful New Hampshire.
