So one day a couple of weeks ago, we were running super late for a phone interview and instead of making up some wild and crazy excuse or trying to speed demon our way to the office, we decided to pull into the parking lot of Terrill Park and make the call. Not ideal, but at this point, we’re used to using just about anywhere as our office away from the office.
On our way out of the park, we noticed something that seemed a little out of place – a Staples shopping cart. Now if you’re wondering exactly where Staples is located, it’s in the Fort Eddy Plaza, which is about 2.5 miles away from Terrill Park, if you go via Loudon Road, Airport Road and Old Turnpike Road. That’s a pretty long walk with what has to be considered a stolen shopping cart.
Maybe the shopper likes to park far away from stores and walk, but just couldn’t make the return trip. Maybe it was taken during the night by folks out for some “fun.” Either way, we hope the cart finds its way home. It sure did look pretty lonely.
