How would your life be different if you lived with mindfulness of your own inevitable death? Instead of that being a morbid question, the answer to it may be the most powerful means to get your actions in line with your truest priorities.
Alive for Now is beyond a book – it is a guided journey in using action-based practices for thriving in life that are otherwise quite easily diverted for a lifetime. An unexpected and refreshing method for living a life of authenticity, contentment, presence, courage and resilience.
Jessica Murby will be at Gibson’s Bookstore next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. to present Alive For Now, to discuss the book’s themes and to lead the audience in one of the book’s exercises.
Murby is a hospice liaison, occupational therapist, lover of life and acro yogi. She unexpectedly came upon the benefits of using death as teacher through her clinical experience and through navigating illness herself. She is part of a lifelong research study at the National Institutes of Health. Murby currently splits her time between her roots in New England and the beautiful island of Maui. She shares her work through public speaking, writing and workshops.
Next Tuesday’s event is free and open to the public.
