For all intents and purposes, it’s the week of Christmas already (we know – Christmas isn’t until Monday, which is technically next week, but this publication runs through Tuesday, so that counts for us). Therefore, it’s sort of a light week on the entertainment front. We couldn’t find any theater listings, but there’s still plenty of music to be heard and movies to be seen this week.
Take a look.
Music
Wednesday
Dave Gerard will play at Hermanos Cocina Mexicana at 6:30 p.m.
Open Jam Night will take place at Area 23 at 7 p.m. Just show up and be ready to rock.
Thursday
Paul Bourgelais is on the bill at Hermanos at 6:30 p.m.
A holiday party with Chicken will go down at Penuche’s some time after 8 p.m. According to a Facebook post, Chicken is a band. That’s all we know.
Friday
Bangcock Disco will get the party started at Area 23 at about 8:30 p.m.
The Oak Ridge Boys will take the stage at the Capitol Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. This will be a night combining the country group’s biggest hits and a Christmas celebration. Tickets are $39 to $79 plus fees at ccanh.com.
Saturday
Paul Lovely will serenade the dinner crowd at Hermanos at 7:30 p.m., an hour later than the weekday performances there.
Andy Lightning will play at True Brew Barista at 8 p.m. No cover.
