Lots of tunes to be heard around here this week

By now you should be pretty familiar with the drill – every week we run a roundup of live music listings for Concord and Bow.

This is that weekly roundup.

We only run what we can find listings for online, so if you don’t see it here, that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening – just that there’s no info available online.

Here’s what the week has in store for live music:

Wedneday

Joel Cage will play for the dinner crowd at Hermanos Cocina Mexicana at 6:30 p.m. There’s no cover charge.

The weekly open jam night at Area 23 will start at 7 p.m. Anyone who wants to jam for a little while is welcome to show up and start rockin’ out.

Thursday

Richard Gardzina will be the performer of the evening at Hermanos at 6:30.

Friday

The Opined Few, a New England-based quartet that plays American roots music, will take the stage at NEC Concord as part of the college’s Listening Room Series. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 show. All are welcome, and there is no cover.

Red Sky Mary will light up the sky at Pit Road Lounge starting at 8 p.m. A $5 cover will apply.

Brasbe will take over Area 23 at 8:30 p.m. No cover charge will apply.

Saturday

Mikey G, a local rocker who really nails the Texas blues, Stevie Ray Vaughan style, will be at Chen Yang Li in Bow from 8 to 11 p.m.

Paul Speidel will play at Hermanos starting at 7:30 p.m., an hour later than the weekday shows at Hermanos get going.

Red Sky Mary will play an encore show at Pit Road Lounge at 8 p.m. Be prepared for that $5 cover.

Dopamine will bring joy at Area 23 at 8:30 p.m.

Ed Gerhard will play at the Spotlight Café at the Capitol Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 plus fees at ccanh.com. More details are on page 4.

Sunday

Eric Chase will be the featured musician at Hermanos at 6:30 p.m.

Open mic at Penuche’s will start at 9 p.m.

Monday

The Suncook Valley Chorale will host Open Sing nights in the Concord High School Music Room at 6:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to join the chorale is invited to join. Bring a friend, even.
