The Final Reel, a ghostly dark comic thriller, by English teachers turned playwrights, William Ivers and Walter Freeman will begin a three-week run at Hatbox Theatre this weekend.
As the curtain rises on this spellbinding thriller – Ghost Encounters, a mildly popular paranormal investigative reality show, has recently arrived at the haunted Leman Mansion on the coast of Maine. The cast and crew are hoping to boost their flagging viewership – who have grown weary of their “shaky camera work” – with a paranormal expose into the rumored ghostly sightings of the late, great Jacqueline Leman. But as they delve deeper into the story, they discover something they have never before encountered – an actual haunting.
The production opens Friday and runs through Sept. 24 with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $17 for adults, and $14 for seniors, students and Hatbox Theatre members, and $13 for senior members.
