Do you need to get reacquainted with some of the local businesses that make up the fabric of your life?
If so, you’ll want to check out the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s 26th annual Business Showcase at the Courtyard by Marriott/Grappone Conference Center next Tuesday.
The showcase is somewhat like a trade show, in that all kinds of businesses will have representatives on hand, though this will be more informational than demonstrational, said Bryanna Marceau, the organizer of the event.
There will be more than 100 Chamber businesses in attendance to tell you all about what they do and to show off their products and services. All you have to do is show up and poke around and see what interests you.
Among the dozens of exhibitors will be the Monitor (one of the event’s corporate sponsors), the Barley House, Common Man Concord, Concord Family YMCA, Concord Hospital and New Hampshire Distributors, just to name a few (a full list can be found online).
“Some members are set up at tables, and each organization is different in terms of what they present and give away,” Marceau said.
Pay attention to that last part. Yes, there will be giveaways, and plenty of them.
Apart from various businesses giving away whatever they want (think things like keychains and hats with logos on them), the Chamber will have all sorts of door prizes, too. All you have to do is show up to be eligible.
If that’s not enough to entice you, know that there will be lots of food, too. And you won’t even have to pay for it – well, you will still have to pay for it in a way, but it’s just included in your ticket price, so feel free to fill up on the munchies.
The event runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday (April 4), though Marceau said most people usually don’t stay the whole time. It’s a pretty informal evening of getting to know some local businesses and just generally networking and having a good time.
“It’s just a really great way to learn what kinds of businesses are in the Concord area,” Marceau said.
All of the exhibitors are Chamber members, but the event is open to the general public (all exhibitor positions are already filled). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
