Birds and Beans Coffeehouse presents Peggo & Paul Hodes with Kent Allyn, performing “Love Songs and Other Trivia” on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Audubon’s McLane Center.
Peggo Hodes is a classically trained vocalist who teaches voice and conducts the women’s choral group Songweavers at the Concord Community Music School. Former New Hampshire Congressman Paul Hodes plays guitar and joins his wife on vocals. The talented multi-instrumentalist Kent Allyn, their longtime collaborator, provides additional depth and richness to their sound while helping them bridge musical worlds.
The trio will weave together elements of pop, jazz, traditional folk, singer-songwriter, and originals that feature Peggo’s wide-ranging vocal abilities, Paul’s bluesy bent, Allyn’s rhythmic and harmonic flavors and a whole lot of humor.
Refreshments and Birds and Beans bird-friendly coffee will be available.
Tickets are $15 for Audubon members, and $18 for nonmembers. Seating is limited; tickets may be reserved by calling 224-9909 ext. 313 or purchased at nhaudubon.org/ calendar.
