On Sunday, at 6:30 p.m. in the Audi lobby, the Friends of the Audi will hold the first official meeting of the seat project.
The project has a total cost $100,000, with $20,000 already funded. So that means $80,000 needs to be raised to finish it.
For every past upgrade project, a similar meeting has been held to develop the “how to do that.” Well over $1 million has been raised for the Audi though such cooperative creative efforts.
The seat project fundraising will follow our previous system for slogans and logos and incentives: “One Brick at A Time” to fund the reception lobby; “Sounds Good to Me” to fund the new Bose Sound System; “Come Fly With Us” to fund the Fly Space; “Step Up and Cool Down” to fund the tower project and air conditioning.
Now the Seat Project needs a “personality” to draw the community’s support. The fundraising program and materials will be prepared for distribution in August, leading up to a big push around the 2016-17 season opening GALA in September.
Everyone is welcome at Sunday’s meeting as the Friends go fishing for the seat project’s hook, line and sinker.
Every peppy idea is welcome – and even not so peppy ideas.
It sure could be a fun way to spend a Sunday evening.
