“Accompanied by three highly talented bluesmen from the New Hampshire area, Kid Pinky is a throwback to the future, paying homage to the blues from the 40s and 50s while simultaneously crafting a modern, completely original sound,” says the band’s website. Gotta love the ol’ throwback to the future bands.

You can’t have holidays without getting a little buzz on, right?
Well this holiday season, scratch that itch with the Buzz Ball at the Capitol Center for the Arts.
Hosted by Greg and the Morning Buzz, the Velvet Elves rock ‘n roll orchestra plus comedians and actors will all be on hand.

Friday
Christmastime often includes taking in some live music or plays, and the season’s signature piece, The Nutcracker, is performed twice every year at the Concord City Auditorium.
Luckily, one of those two times is Friday at 7 p.m.
The New Hampshire School of Ballet will present an enchanting full production of the holiday classic. The tree grows to the ceiling, the snow falls and the cast of 50 dancers light up the stage.

If you’re still craving some classic Christmas music, there’s always The Rocking Horse Christmas at the Cap Center.
Join Rocking Horse Studio, New Hampshire’s premier music production and recording facility, as it presents an evening of traditional and contemporary Christmas music performed by some of New Hampshire’s finest singers and musicians.
The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20.

We know this has been a pretty music-heavy installment of What’s Up This Week?, but who doesn’t love to hear some good old doo-wop while sipping punch and munching snacks?
Well you can do all that and more as New Hampshire’s favorite doo-wop group, The Rockin’ Daddios, headlines the Friends of The Concord City Auditorium’s 25th annual Holiday Open House at 6 p.m.
Everyone is welcome at this special community gathering with a true pot luck supper and the “famous Audi Punch.” We hope this doesn’t mean getting a quick jab to the ol’ gut.
The Friends present their 2015 review and 2016 plans, and then the music starts.
