Who among us hasn't seen their fair share of episodes of HGTV's “House Hunters?” I mean, it's on like 20 times a day; it's hard to miss. During any marathon HG session, one inevitably wonders “What would it be like if I was the one hunting for houses on national television?”
Well, local realtor Cami Baker could tell you all about what it's like to take part in the show; in fact, she appeared on a 2008 episode that was filmed right here in Concord.
Baker said she “thought it was a prank call” when the “House Hunters” producers dialed her up and asked her to find potential home-buyers for the show. It was the real deal, though, and she helped a Concord couple buy a new house and get on television in the process. And now could be your chance to get a little taste of the spotlight!
HGTV recently contacted Baker again, telling her to find the right buyers in the Concord area to appear on an upcoming “House Hunters” episode.
Anyone in the Concord area who is looking to buy a new house and isn't working with a Realtor already could potentially be the next house hunter. Of course, they can't be camera-shy and must be ready to provide an audition tape if selected.
Baker urges interested parties to get the process going as soon as possible and hopes to have the right people by the end of November. (You never see any episodes filmed in the snow, do you?)
