Meet Kaila Hamman, the Concord Young Professionals Network Young Professional of the Month. Hamman lives in Concord and works at the Grappone Conference Center. You can find her at most CYPN networking events, and she is also a member of the CYPN Marketing Committee. She was kind enough to answer a few questions for us.
How did you find out about CYPN?
I found out about CYPN through the lovely and amazing Jessica Fogg (CYPN chairwoman).
How has being involved with CYPN helped you?
Getting involved with CYPN has helped me get involved with many things in the community as well as meet some great people.
What has been your favorite CYPN event so far?
I have enjoyed all of the networking events for the simple fact of getting to see and know Concord that much better. It is nice to get to see the businesses first hand, meet new people, and learn a little more about what Concord is about.
When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was young I lived in Kennebunkport, Maine, and we had a ride-on lawn mower in which my father attached a wagon so we could go for rides with him in all the nearby fields where we lived. When we would go for rides, I would pick all the beautiful wild flowers for my mom. At that point I wanted to make bouquets and flower arrangements when I grew up since I had so much fun making them for my mom.
Tell us three facts about yourself.
I just got engaged!
I am an Alumni People to People student ambassador and have traveled to Italy, Austria, Hungry and Australia.
I went to college for graphic design.
CYPN promotes networking opportunities for young professionals (generally 22-40) by helping them make connections in the community and providing them with a professional, casual and non-intimidating setting.
Free networking events are held on the third Wednesday of every month at various Concord venues, where hundreds of young professionals of all ages can interact socially, build a network of contacts, exchange ideas and have fun. For more information visit concordypn.org.
