The Friends Program is pleased to announce a generous contribution from Lincoln Financial Foundation in support of the Friends Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). This program helps New Hampshire meet critical needs through volunteerism. Volunteers help address education, health and independence and other important community needs: They assist food banks, nutrition programs, blood drives, disaster relief, senior programs, homeless shelters, after-school programs and much more.
The grant from Lincoln Financial specifically will support the RSVP Bone Builders program which provides free exercise classes to seniors; the Pen Pals program which matches children with seniors to increase students' reading and writing skills; and Caregivers which provides rides to doctors' offices, grocery shopping assistance and companionship to seniors and disabled persons most in need.
