The New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources has scheduled two public meetings to gather information about New Hampshire's First State House Project. Members of the public are invited to attend and learn more about the First State House, as well as to provide their own insights and comments about ways this unique resource may be used.
A meeting will take place Nov. 15 from 6-8 p.m. on the fifth floor at 2 Pillsbury St.
New Hampshire is in the unusual position of still owning remnants of its first state house, which was built in 1758 in Portsmouth as the seat of New Hampshire's colonial government.
The goal of New Hampshire's First State House Project is to create greater opportunities for the public to enjoy and benefit from the resource as a historical artifact.
