What a joy to open the Concord Insiderrecently and find “The Insider's Guide to United Way Giving.” I encourage everyone to look at their own holiday budgets and to reach out to one of these fine organizations. Some of us already give at this time of year, and that's great! I challenge us to find a way to give even more. Can we shave $10 or $15 off our friends and family gift budget and donate the money instead? Can we commit an hour or two to volunteer? (Please do not think I'm preaching; these are questions I'm asking myself.) Imagine the positive impact we could have if everyone reading this donated “only” $10 and one hour of time! If you can afford your rent or mortgage and do not wonder how you'll feed your family today, please help me make a positive difference in our beloved community.
