The Concord City Auditorium will host “Jimmy Tingle's American Dream Live on Stage and Screen” on Jan. 8 from 4-6 p.m. A reception will follow.
The unique theatrical event will feature a screening of the award-winning “Jimmy Tingle's American Dream,” with a question-and-answer and live performance of “Jimmy Tingle for President: The Funniest Campaign in History.”
The film features interviews and opinions of Gary Hirshberg, Robert Altman, Bobcat Goldthwait, Howard Zinn, Mort Sahl, Janeane Garafalo, Sean Hannity, Lewis Black, Al Franken, Robert Reich, Colin Quinn, Barry Crimmins, Jimmy’s mother, Frances, and more. The soundtrack includes music by Willie Nelson, The Mighty, Mighty Bosstones, The Neighborhoods, and Jimmy Tingle on harmonica.
