The Learning Center at Concord Hospital was among the first childcare centers in the state to take the pledge Michelle Obama set forth to promote healthy practices in children starting at an early age.
The five primary goals of the Let's Move Child Care pledge are:
Physical Activity: One to two hours of physical activity throughout the day including outside time.
Screen Time: No screen time under two years of age, 30 minutes or less a week of over two years of age.
Food: Serve fruits and/or vegetable at every meal/snack.
Beverages: Drinking water is visible and available for self-serve, milk guidance and sugar sweetened drink guidance.
Infant feeding: Best breast feeding practices and support of parent decisions.
