Vans run on new fuel
The General Services Department recently had two Ford Transit Connect cargo vans converted to run exclusively on compressed natural gas, Aspell writes. One will be assigned to the department's administration pision for use by the water conservation technician; the other will be assigned to the wastewater treatment pision for general use. The cost of the conversions was fully reimbursed through an Expanded Alternative Fuel Vehicle Program grant, which was awarded to the city by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, who received it from the New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning.
This marks the city's first venture into alternatively fueled vehicles and allows the city to take a leadership role in the implementation of such technology, Aspell writes.

Touch-ups continue
National Grid has completed its infrastructure improvements, Aspell writes. This week the contractor will continue installing the new storm drainage system and begin shoulder widening and shoulder paving. Two-way traffic patterns will remain in effect; however, lane shifts are expected.
