Discussions will be led by Dartmouth College English professor Suzanne Brown on Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. and September 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Crime & Punishment on the Isles of Shoals: The Ballad of Louis Wagner
On Sept. 27 at 7 p.m., lawyer and balladeer John Perrault (Humanities-To-Go program) examines the life and trial of the man convicted of and executed for the murder of Anethe Christensen on Smuttynose Island in March of 1873.
What's Your Favorite Mystery?
Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. Share your favorite mystery with other mystery lovers and discover some new authors to try. Led by Rebecca Rule.
Cold Case Panel Discussion
Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. Investigator Robert Freitas with the New Hampshire attorney general's “Cold Case Unit” and local true crime authors Rebecca Lavoie and Kevin Flynn talk about cold case investigation and how authors approach writing true crime books.
An Island Kingdom
Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. Documentary presented by its Emmy Award winning producer/director/videographer Andrea Melville. Never-before-seen photographs, beautiful artwork, period music, and incredible present-day views tell the 400-year history of the Isles of Shoals.
