The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce will collect non-perishable goods at the Business After Hours – Holiday Celebration event to be held at the Courtyard by Marriott Grappone Conference Center on Tuesday, Dec. 9. In lieu of the event registration fee, each attendee is asked to bring at least four non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Capital Region Food Program (CRFP).
All donations will be distributed to over 2,500 families during the CRFP’s 41st Holiday Food Basket Project. According to project chairperson, Maria Manus Painchaud, “The donations received from this event help us to provide food for a holiday meal and for an additional three weeks to inpiduals and families throughout the Greater Capital Region. We sincerely appreciate the generous support of our community in helping to eliminate food insecurity and assisting the well-being of all our neighbors.”
The Holiday Food Basket Project begins Dec. 16 at the National Guard Armory on Pembroke Road and will conclude Dec. 26. For more information on the project and how you can help, please contact Painchaud by email at hfbp@capitalregionfoodprogram.org.
