What do kids like about Concord? ConcordTV wants to find out by inviting Concord students to write a letter expressing their thoughts and feelings on what it’s like to live in the city. From the entries received, ConcordTV will select students to read their letters as part of ConcordTV’s screening of its short film, Voices of Generations, on Wednesday, April 8, at Red River Theatres, which begins at 5:30 p.m. All letters will be on display at the film screening.
The film, Voices of Generations, is the result of ConcordTV staff interviews with 25 senior citizens, held over the past nine months, who tell stories about their lives in Concord.
“As we celebrate Concord’s 250th Anniversary this year, this film screening, which is open to the public, will offer a unique historic perspective as told by the more senior population of our City,” says Doris Ballard, the station’s executive director. “But what we also plan to add to this screening event are the voices of the younger generation. Their words should offer interesting insight on what is important to them in the community in which they live.”
Elementary and high school students are invited to participate. Letters should be no more than 250 words. Deadline for submission is Feb. 27.
Letters must be mailed to: Doris Ballard, ConcordTV, 170 Warren St., Concord, NH 03301 or emailed to doris@yourconcordtv.org.
