“A Focus on New Hampshire Aviation: A Photography Project” will be on exhibit at the N.H. State Library in Concord through Feb. 25.
A partnership of the N.H. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Aeronautics, the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Institute of Art, the exhibit focuses on general aviation and includes images of aircraft, airports and people involved in the state’s aviation industry. Photography for the exhibit was created by current and past students of the New Hampshire Institute for Art, led by Professor Gary Samson.
New Hampshire’s airports range from grass strips to 11,000-foot runways and serve everything from homebuilt helicopters to Boeing 737s. Aviation in New Hampshire provides more than 9,000 jobs and strengthens the state’s economy by more than $1.1 billion.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The N.H. State Library is open weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
