The Concord Public Library planned to follow the Yellow Brick Road to a singalong starring Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, the Lion (and Toto too!) earlier this month, but it was snowed out, because it was held on a day of the week.
Fear not, fans of the Emerald City, you’ll have another chance. Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m., the library is planning another Over the Rainbow Songfest with the entire crew, and visitors will be encouraged to dress up as whatever character they like.
From the library: “Join us as we go ‘Over the Rainbow’ at CPL and sing along to this classic movie! Costumes are strongly encouraged. We will have a costume party, gift bags, trivia, refreshments and more! This will be a fun, interactive program for all ages! So jump on your broomstick, bike or hot air balloon and join us on the yellow brick road! Free – but seating is limited to 100 people! (In the Library Auditorium).”
It looks like the staff set the bar pretty high in the costume – and green-colored witch flavored beverage – department, so you’ll have to step up your game. But we have faith in you.
