The seventh annual Concord Area Bike Swap is set for May 16 and 17, and the people at the Central New Hampshire Bicycling Coalition are so excited about it, they’re quoting JFK.
These famous John F. Kennedy words – “Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of riding a bike” – are part of the Facebook event page for the weekend sale. JFK would definitely have been a fan of this event, and you should be, too. You can find a ton of funky, functional used bikes at reasonable prices. And the funds go toward supporting bike programs and other bike-related projects in and around Concord.
From the Facebook event page: The Bicycle Swap will be held at S&W Sports and is a fun event for families and for bicycles riders of all ages and abilities. Whether you are looking to buy, sell, or donate a bike, you don’t want to miss this event! The sale will be held May 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and May 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick-up will be held May 17 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Other important notes: Be aware that this is a very well-attended event and credit card processing can take up to an hour; for quickest service, please bring cash or check; a designated area will be available for test rides and helmets will be available for use; if you are uncertain about what kind of bike you want, our staff will be ready and willing to find the right bike for you.
So check it out for yourself. You just might end up cruising home on some hot new wheels.
