Having the first primary in the nation is a source of great pride for New Hampshire, but it’s also a source of great, and often humorous or off-beat, photos. And we’re no dummies – we know you’ve been hoarding some of the best ones out there.
Well, we want to see ’em. And so does everyone else. The Concord Monitor is looking for any and all interesting photos featuring candidates on the campaign trail in our great state. And since we know many of the greatest ones were likely taken in the pre-digital camera era (like, when cavemen were running for office. #That’sSoYesterday), we’ve gone ahead and made it easy for you to get them to us.
Gibson’s Bookstore will host a scanning day Sunday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your pictures down and the fine people there will scan them right in and hand them back to you. And the best ones could end up getting published in a hardcover book the Monitor is putting together.
This isn’t just a call to inpidual residents, either; if any local businesses have photos hanging up or locked away in wall safes, bring them down, too.
Dust off those pics and bring them over to Gibson’s, y’all!
