NHTI’s Spring Comedy Show was designed as a way to bring together the college and the community for a night of entertainment before the school year comes to a close.
The artists have changed over the years, but the idea remains the same. From previous names such as Bob Marley, Bo Burnham, Bill Burr and Ralphie May, to this year’s performer Stephen Lynch, the spring show is guaranteed to be entertaining, fun, and exciting.
Lynch will always consider himself “a musician trapped in the body of a comedian.” His unique blend of music-based comedy has earned him fiercely loyal fans around the world. His four best-selling CDs – “A Little Bit Special,” “Superhero,” “The Craig Machine,” and “3 Balloons” – have sold hundreds of thousands of copies around the world.
His first DVD, “Live at the El Rey,” was certified Gold by RIAA. Lynch has toured with some of the biggest names in comedy, including Lewis Black and the late Mitch Hedberg. He’s also headlined his own top-rated Comedy Central Specials and sold out shows throughout the United States, Australia and Europe.
In 2006, Stephen stepped onto the Broadway stage for the first time in the title role of The Wedding Singer. His performance earned him nominations for some of the highest honors in American Theatre.
Tickets for Lynch’s performance at NHTI can be purchased online at nhtiquery.nhti.edu/StudentLife/. Tickets are $10 for NHTI students and alumni, $20 general admission.
