The famed multiphonic singers – the Monks from Tibet’s Drepung Loseling Monastery – will open the Concord Community Concert Association’s 84th season with a performance of traditional temple music and mystical masked dances. Billed as “The Mystical Arts of Tibet: Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Healing,” this concert features elaborate costumes, traditional instruments, and unique multiphonic singing.
The performance takes place Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium, 2 Prince St. Single tickets are $18 on sale at Gibson’s Bookstore and The UPS Store, both on South Main Street, and at the door.
