The Concord-area AARP Tax-Aide team is looking for new volunteers interested in becoming Tax-Aide counselors. You don't need tax experience – only a desire to help others.
We'll train you to become an IRS-certified Tax-Aide volunteer and to experience the satisfaction of providing free tax preparation to low and moderate income taxpayers. We'll teach you how to use your basic computer skills and a few hours of your time each week to help hundreds of your fellow taxpayers avoid the anxiety of preparing their own tax return or seeking a paid preparer.
Our tax law training classes don't begin until January 2013, but we'd like to tell you more about our program right now.
