A six-person panel of local refugees, immigrants and student leaders will join together Nov. 17 for an event from 1 to 4 p.m. that will highlight the refugee and immigrant experience in Concord. The afternoon will begin with panel presentations and will then break up into facilitated, small group discussions. Everyone will reconvene at the end for an open community discussion.
The meeting will be facilitated by Gerri King, social psychologist and organizational consultant. It will be held at NHTI, Beverly Grappone Hall, 31 College Drive. Beverages and light snacks will be served. All members of the Concord community are welcome.
This event is organized by Concord Area Task Force Against Racism and Intolerance, Concord clergy, Concord Police Department, the Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Department of Justice, Concord educators, New Hampshire legislators, and many committed community members.
