Cancer is a worldwide epidemic; however, evidence-based research now exists that links cancer and stress and demonstrates the interconnections of psychological, behavioral and biological factors in cancer. Join nationally acclaimed clinical professor and researcher Dr. Barbara Andersen from Ohio State University on April 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium as she presents: “Cancer and Stress: What’s the Connection?”
Andersen will discuss stress and cancer including her own research in breast cancer patients where psychological interventions reduced the risk for recurrence and death from breast cancer. Participants will leave with an increased knowledge of the relationship between stress and cancer and what research has demonstrated in this area.
This presentation is free and does not require registration however, space is limited. For additional information contact Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care HOPE Resource Center at pcccinfo@crhc.org or 227-7000, ext. 6937. This presentation is sponsored by Charter Trust Company.
