For 25 years, the mission of the Five Rivers Conservation Trust has been to preserve and protect important open space lands in 16 towns within five New Hampshire river watersheds for present and future generations. Now, the organization is calling on local hikers, walkers and cyclists to share their photos on lands impacted by Five Rivers via Facebook, and enter the 25th Anniversary Photo contest. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photographs in categories of scenery, people and/or pets, wildlife, and something amazing. The contest is open today!

In addition to prizes from local retailers, winners will receive a Five Rivers T-shirt and cap. The winning photographs will be framed and displayed, first at Grappone Toyota, then at the Five Rivers Annual Meeting in May of 2014 in the gallery at Red River Theatres. These photos will be auctioned off at the annual meeting with proceeds going to Five Rivers. Entries may be made at facebook.com/FiveRiversNH.

Five Rivers Conservation Trust, headquartered in Concord, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting open space across the heartland of central New Hampshire. This beautiful rolling landscape is drained by five waterways that converge in the Concord area – the Merrimack, Contoocook, Blackwater, Warner and Soucook Rivers. It is a region of picturesque country villages and a delightful mix of fields and forests, farms and wetlands, and other special places. Through conservation easements and other means, Five Rivers is an active land trust to help keep those places intact for future generations. For more information, visit 5rct.org.
