As we’re sure you were made well aware by the aquatic enthusiasts in your life, last week was Shark Week. Far from simply a marketing campaign made up by the Discovery Channel, Shark Week is a way of life. Luckily for the Food Snob, New England Cupcakery got in on the action last week with its Shark Week cupcake. We treated it like a feeding frenzy!
Seen here is the vanilla version, which we found quite delicious. This was a rare situation where we actually enjoyed the frosting more than the cupcake. It was rich, smooth and creamy, and best of all – it was topped with the elusive gummy shark! Not since the days of middle school fruit snacks have we seen such a Shark Bite. Cut our stomach open and you might find it still inside.
Alas, the Shark Week cupcake was a one-week-only offering; we’d give an arm and a leg to have one again.
