Dear Casper and Bill,
My fiancee and I are engaged to be married next summer. We've having a big traditional wedding – something I'm a little nervous about, as I don't like big crowds. I'm particularly terrified by the prospect of dancing in front of hundreds of people, many of whom I don't know. My fiancee wants me to take dancing lessons, but I feel foolish. Would it be rude of me not to dance at our wedding?
Dear Demophobist,
Don't you dare not dance at your wedding! We want you both to be the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of the reception. . . . Okay, we'll give in to your ages: think Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake. Let your friends and family know how great you can be as a dancing couple. Put on your DVD and watch “Swing Time” with Fred and Ginger, and tell me you don't want to dance like them. Dancing gives one confidence. Get to the Dance Academy on Main Street; start taking lessons, practice, practice and enjoy the fun and grace of swing and ballroom dancing. We promise that you and your guests will have a wonderful and swinging time.
All right, play some rock 'n roll and you will get over your “terror”(get over it, already). There is one mandatory request: Your bride MUST wear a magical gown like the one Ginger wears, the one with the hundreds of white ostrich feathers that with every turn makes your bride seem to look as if she is flying in the air. What magic and what a wedding. Send us pictures!
