Merrimack Valley High School will present “A College Overview for Juniors and their Parents” on March 1 at 6:30 p.m. Applying for college admission – and financial aid – can be overwhelming. There are applications to be completed, deadlines to meet, essays to write, award letters to be interpreted and complex language to understand.
This evening session is intended to educate the high school junior and his/her family about the college admission and financial aid processes.
Topics to be discussed include: the qualifications colleges are looking for, questions to ask on a college tour, college essay pointers, the application timeline, types of financial aid available to students, scholarship search resources, timelines and calculating the family financial contribution.
