The spring yard waste collection program is set to start, Aspell writes. The program runs from April 18 through May 27. All Concord residents who currently participate in the curbside trash collection program are eligible. Materials to be collected must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on the regular trash collection day.
Residents have two options for pick-up:
1) Yard waste is placed curbside in paper yard waste bags, which are available at local stores (paper yard waste bags must be used if this option is chosen).
2) Yard waste is placed curbside in 30-gallon barrels, weighing less than 50 pounds, clearly marked “Yard Waste”. No plastic bags containing yard waste will be collected.

To protect roads and streets from potential damage from heavy vehicles during the spring thaw, Aspell writes, the City began posting load limit signs during the week of March 14th. Restrictions will continue only as long as conditions require, but will likely remain in place until sometime in April. Corridor construction
Installation of the new storm sewer infrastructure has begun on North State Street, Aspell writes. Work has begun in front of Swenson Granite and will continue to progress north to Hillcrest Avenue. One-lane traffic restrictions will be in place daily in this area and delays are to be expected. Commuters are encouraged to seek alternate routes, if possible.
