Show others you care during United Way's Day of Caring

Does spending an afternoon reading to kids sound like fun? Do you enjoy heights? How about painting a rock climbing wall? Or how about helping pack food boxes for local food pantries? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then United Way of Merrimack County's “Day of Caring” on Sept. 16 is for you.

Businesses and organizations that participated in the past reported that the “Day of Caring” is a great way to build a sense of connection among employees as well as to foster a positive relationship with the community. Make arrangements to send a team of employees to volunteer for the morning shift, the afternoon shift or all day. Teams and inpiduals can sign up to participate by visiting unitedwymc.org.

If you are an area nonprofit that would like to participate by hosting volunteers, contact the United Way. For more information, contact Val Guy at 224-2595 or valg@unitedwymc.org.
