Meet the authors of 'Weather Facts and Fun'

On Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., WMUR TV-9 meteorologist Josh Judge and award-winning New Hampshire science teacher Kathe Cussen will host a special night about weather forecasting at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, 2 Institute Drive. Visitors will discover interesting new facts about weather and astronomy, and what ideal conditions are for good sky watching.

Judge and Cussen have recently coauthored a children's book titled “Weather Facts and Fun.” Geared toward 7- to 11- year-olds, the new book combines unusual weather facts with engaging activities, challenges and full-color photos from around New Hampshire. A book signing will be held after the program in the Science Store.

The program is recommended for ages seven and older. Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is $9, $8 for students and seniors and $6 for children. If general admission is purchased before 5 p.m., the program ticket is $3.
