Entertainment: Massive chorus takes the stage and ‘Pride and Prejudice’ remix

Theatre KAPOW continues its 12th season celebrating the voices of remarkable women with "Pride and Prejudice" by Kate Hamill, adapted from the novel by Jane Austen. The show will be performed at the Bank of New Hampshire Stage on Feb. 21-23.

“A Grand Time For Singing” will be held at 3 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium. The New Hampshire Master Chorale, the New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus, and the Suncook Valley Chorale will all perform their special selection then come together for the finale. A pre-show dessert party will be held at 2 p.m. planned by the Concord Community Concert Association. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets are $20 at Gibson’s Bookstore, the UPS Store and at the door or $23 if bought online at concordcommunityconcerts.org. Students under 18 are free.

Holidays at the Hatbox will celebrate with Purimspiel on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Come for an evening of song, satire, food and frolic in celebration of Purim, which traditionally includes a dramatic/satirical presentation of the Scrolls of Esther. Theatre KAPOW will present Pride and Prejudice, but not like you think you know. This version adapted by Kate Hamill is more humorous.
