On Concord’s entertainment agenda for the following week is your usual plethora of bar bands and movies, as well as a couple student-performed shows at the city’s biggest venue.

  • Songs of Irish Emigration at Concord City Auditorium on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Through traditional music, Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki – joined by David Surette, Jim Prendergast, and the McDonough-Grimes Irish Dancers – will relay some of the adventures, misadventures and emotions experienced by Irish emigrants. Part of the Walker Lecture Series, the concert is free.
  • Starquest Dance Competition at Capitol Center for the Arts on Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. All shows are free.
  • Boggis Comedy Presents … Standup Comedy at Hatbox Theatre on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 to $17 at hatboxnh.com. Join professional comedian Greg Boggis and his guests as they explore life through standup comedy. Boggis brings talented comedians from New Hampshire, Boston and beyond to play with Concord-area audiences.
