New show at Hatbox Theatre
Newly formed Neighborhood Shows announces the production of Talking to Starlight at Hatbox Theatre from June 30–July 16
Talking to Starlight features Jen Sassak and Joe Paoni in a romantic comedy about a scientist who’s struggling to understand just what she wants and discovers a secret about her boyfriend that may just bring her whole world crashing down.
How do we decide what path we’re going to take? How do we know we have made the right choice? These are just some of the questions asked in this new romantic comedy.
Promising astrophysist Elenanor Taylor decides to resolve her choice about whether to move overseas for a dream job or leave her new boyfriend behind in the only way that makes sense to her – an experiment. Designed by a psychologist, Daniel and Eleanor work out the solution with a list of questions to be asked and answered.
A talk-back will be held on Saturday with the playwright and cast followed by a wine and beer after-party.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16.50, and $13.50 for members, seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased at hatboxnh.com or by calling 715- 2315.

Junior Service League donation
The Junior Service League of Concord has awarded $1,000 to Concord Hospital Trust to provide support to pediatric patients suffering from a behavioral health crisis. The grant will be used to enhance services to children who are admitted through Concord Hospital’s Emergency Department yellow pod and are in need of an extended hospital stay in the pediatric department while awaiting transfer to a dedicated psychiatric facility.
In 2016, Concord Hospital provided just over $46 million in community benefit support to patients in our region and expanded youth behavioral health intervention in the hospital’s Pediatrics Unit to provide 118 pediatric behavioral health patients with a calm, safe setting and special attention to prevent their condition from worsening.
