Join the Concord Trails Committee for a hike of the Sewalls Falls and Morono Park trails on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Sewalls Falls trail is approximately three miles roundtrip. The walk will take you north of the new bridge (which is quite a nice bridge if you ask us) to the Lower Oxbow Pond and back.
If you’re so inclined, you can choose to continue the walk on the Morono Park trails for an additional two miles roundtrip. Plan for 2 to three hours for the entire 5-mile trip.
The trails are relatively flat and offer great views along the Merrimack River and Oxbow Pond. You can learn about the history of Sewalls Falls Dam, and get your exercise in at the same time.
The hike will be held even with light rain. Don’t forget to pack your bug spray, water and a snack. See maps 10 & 11 for trail maps and parking location at concordnh.gov/trails.
Meet at the Second Street parking area, which is across from the Morono Park trailhead.
