As you all well know, we like to highlight our accomplishments.
Because really, if we don’t, who will?
So over the last couple years, what seems like just about every few months, we’ve been recognized for all our hard work. At least what has been perceived as hard work.
And of course we have to put in a little story about all the awards we’ve been winning. And you guessed it, here’s the first one for 2017.
This one came from the Northeast Grange media awards – the award of excellence, might we add. That’s right, not only have we done well on the local level with the Concord Grange No. 322, and with the N.H. State Grange, but for the second year in a row we got a nice new plaque (right) against what was surely some stiff competition from similar size papers in many other states. Who knew a couple of guys running a weekly paper in Concord could make such an impression?
Well we did, but it’s not like we were going to give ourselves an award. That would just be silly – even for us.
Word on the street is that the National Grange President took a copy of the Insider back to Washington, D.C., to show it off.
Who knows, maybe there will be a national award to write about soon, too?
