In case you haven’t heard yet, the Super Bowl is this Sunday – and it’s kind of a big deal. The storyline is there for the taking: Tom Brady (and even Bill Belichick) looks to take away any doubt as to who’s the greatest of all time, all while sticking it to the commissioner in glorious fashion.
The biggest game in the biggest sport will go out across millions of TVs in America on Sunday, and many of those TVs are right here in Concord at public eating and drinking establishments.
There are plenty of options for going out to eat in Concord, but not every restaurant is well-suited to hosting a Super Bowl get-together – you’d hate to walk into a fancy, sit-down, gourmet restaurant decked out in sweat pants, a Gronk jersey and a beer helmet.
That’s why we scraped together a list of some of the more sports-oriented places in the city that will be open during the game.
This is just a small list of some of the places we were able to get information from, but don’t be surprised if other spots have things going on, too.
Cheers
You might know Cheers for its famous trivia night, but the Storrs Street bar and grill is no stranger to hosting football games, either.
Though the downstairs lounge isn’t plastered with TVs on every surface, it’s still a good place to catch a game. During every Patriots game, Cheers offers 35-cent wings and $2 Bud Lights, and the same deal will be running during the Super Bowl.
With prices like that, you can stay for the whole game and get absolutely sickly full without blowing the entire paycheck, which should make everyone happy regardless of who wins the game.
You won’t need a reservation to get a spot, but since Super Bowl Sunday is a pretty big day for most bars and restaurants, you’ll probably want to get there nice and early so you can secure a good seat before the game starts.
You can be sure that seating will be much harder to come by once the game is under way.

The Draft
The Draft is pretty serious about sports. That’s why the South Main Street sports bar has 15 70-inch flat-screen TVs and two gigantic projector screens.
If you’re worried about not being able to get a good view of the TV from your seat, just go to The Draft, where that problem doesn’t exist since you’re basically always within a few feet of a big screen.
If the abundance of TVs doesn’t overwhelm you, maybe the beer selection will – there are 41 to choose from. That’s the kind of variety that can keep you there for awhile, needing to try that next one.
As far as food goes, they’ve got that covered, too. If you’re in the mood for something light, quick and easy, you can grab some $2 tacos. If you’re with a group of friends (or alone and just really hungry), you can opt for the whopping 3-pound basket of wings with any sauce for $17.99. Take two friends and think of it as a pound of wings for about six bucks each – not too bad.
If the 70-inch screens downstairs aren’t quite enough for you, you can head upstairs to the lounge that features two super-huge projection screens surrounded by comfy couches and chairs. This is how you can get that at-home feeling with the benefits of a bigger screen and a lively atmosphere.

Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings is in the business of showing sports on TV while serving food and drinks. Therefore, it’s probably not a bad place to watch the Super Bowl.
Although the chain restaurant on Loudon Road isn’t exactly doing anything special for the Super Bowl, this company does this stuff year-round, so they’re pretty confident they know what they’re doing.
Visitors can choose from 30 beers on tap and wings with 16 signature sauces or five different dry seasonings. And, of course, there are also plenty of food items that are not chicken wings, and plenty of beverages that are not beer.
The only thing that might be different at Buffalo Wild Wings during Super Bowl Sunday is that it will very likely be more packed than usual. The Super Bowl will be on every TV (there are more than 30 in the place, and there are many sizes), and management is expecting quite a big crowd, both inside and out – it’s one of the busier days for takeout, too.
Otherwise, it’s just a normal business day for B-dubs. There won’t be reservations, so like most places in Concord, you’ll want to get there early enough to snag the seat of your choice – don’t count on too many people leaving in the middle of the biggest game of the year.
