You’ve got 3 chances to see ‘Shakespeare on the Green’

Students at Rundlett Middle School, under the direction of Karen Braz known for her work with the Community Players of Concord youth program, will perform Shakespeare on the Green, a modern adaptation of four Shakespeare classics.

The shortened versions of The Taming of the Shrew, King Lear, Comedy of Errors and The Winter’s Tale will be presented Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m,. in the new activity room at Rundlett Middle School, 144 South St.

Tickets can be purchased at the door, or reserved by contacting Alison Nyhan at akm9@comcast.net.

Cost is $5 for students and seniors, and $8 for adults.

In Shakespeare on the Green, the four plays are revamped into fun, accessible – sometimes frantic – shorts, using modern language to update some of Shakespeare’s classic works. From a lesson in Shakespearean tragedy through the plight of King Lear to the humorous miscues in Comedy of Errors, this play offers a fun evening with some hilarious and unexpected twists.
