McGowan Fine Art is hosting an artist reception on Friday for its latest exhibit, ‘Hikes and Travels,’ featuring the art of Catherine Tuttle.

The show will run through Nov. 11, and Friday’s opening will be from 5 to 7 p.m.

‘Hikes and Travels’ encompasses Tuttle’s travels of the last three years, and includes landscapes from Italy, Glacier National Park, Maine, and a return to her favorite subject matter, the White Mountains.

 

The Audi

On Sunday at 6:30 p.m., the Friends of the Audi will host its quarterly meeting.

An update about the seat restoration project will be presented, along with other normal business.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

And in case you missed the earlier story, the Community Players of Concord’s Children’s Theatre Project will perform Shining Princess of the Slender Bamboo on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.

 

Hatbox Theatre

You only have a few chances left to catch the Hampstead Stage Company’s original adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Shows will be held Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

The monthly presentation of Discovering Magic with Andrew Pinard will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

 

Capitol Center

The Spotlight Cafe will be home to a double bill on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. with Chad and Jeremy, and Denny Laine’s Wings over America.

Josh Ritter takes the stage on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. as part of a U.S. tour supporting his latest album, Sermon On The Rocks.

And on Sunday in the Spotlight Cafe, authors Colson Whitehead and Ben Winters take part in a discussion led by Virginia Prescott, host of NHPR’s Word of Mouth.
